The Pottery from three major sites at Giza is published here. First is the Cemetery of the Pyramid Builders, located southeast of the pyramids and south of the Heit el-Ghorab 'Wall of the Crow'.
Next is the Western Cemetery, west of the pyramid of Khufu, where recent excavations have uncovered some 68 new tombs. Finally, is the Old Kingdom settlement that lies beneath the modern suburb of Nazlet el-Samman.
The pottery found at these three sites dates mainly to the Fourth and Fifth Dynasties, with scattered examples dating to the Sixth Dynasty.
