توصيف الموقع :

The General Department of Sunken Antiquities has been working in this location since 1999. Excavation and survey works have led to the discovery of potsherds and different types of amphorae, related most probably to the shipwreck of sunken ships. Remains of a sunken Roman ship at the center of the bay that still shows some archaeological objects at the bottom were also discovered as well as rock cut rectilinear basins that were probably used in fish farming. Parts of sunken platforms for a small harbor also appeared, in addition to the remains of an old quarry for yellow limestone which was used to build the old platforms and basins lying in the bay and dating back to the Roman Age.
